In accordance with the Paperwork Burden Reduction Act and recent guidance from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), we are providing this notice to inform you that your Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax statements (Form 1095-C) are available upon request. We are no longer required to automatically print and mail these forms to every individual, provided we offer this alternative manner of access.

Hawkins County does not issue building permits. All building permits are issued through the State of Tennessee at
www.TN.gov. Hawkins County does not have any zoning restrictions, or code enforcement.

Hawkins County is the process of redeveloping, implementing and updating the County Stormwater Management Program. Citizens are invited to participate in this process and can do so by calling (423) 523-4598.

Laurel Run Playground Project
Through a Rural Access to Health and Healthy Active Built Environments grant from the Tennessee Department of Health, Hawkins County was able to enhance and expand the playground to include a broader age range of children with equipment that will allow them to be more physically active, will inspire learning, have fun, and to become more social by making friends.

U.S. Flag Retirement Box
The U.S. Flag Retirement Box is located at the County Mayor's Office in Rogersville, TN. Flag Retirement is the term used to define the proper, dignified way of destroying United States flags that are no longer fit to serve our nation. Anyone who has a flag that is worn, faded, or tattered and you want to properly dispose of the flag, you can bring it to the County Mayor's Office.
